Jimmy Févil and Pierre Roberto are charged with arms smuggling
This April 15, the national police announced that it had locked up the named Pierre Roberto for illicit trafficking in firearms.
His arrest is in line with that of Jimmy Févil a few days earlier, during a routine check in Turgeau. He is charged with smuggling weapons.
At that time, Jimmy Févil had been arrested for illegally carrying firearms, before admitting to having been instructed by Pierre Roberto to deliver weapons to a certain Kempes who leads a band in Bel-Air, following the discovery of some very compromising photos in his mobile.
At the time of his arrest, the police confided having seized illegal metals and a sum of 4 million gourdes in the residence of Pierre Roberto who, however, he opposes any participation in this traffic.
